Its just a moment: every second, every minute, every incident you’ve fought so hard to forget or hold on to. It may be a sheer moment of luxury or forgotten pleasures of repentance filled with tears of joy. Nothing lasts.
Realise that one day, YOU will be just a “memory”, or maybe not even that. There will come moments in life which will make you turn to the One full of Might and Honour in a blink of an eye and then, there will be times when you will see glimpses of your fantasies turning into reality.
Yes, there will be moments that will sweep you off the floor and then there will be moments that will bring you down to your knees in a matter of seconds.
People will leave you when you need them most, maybe because it was destined or maybe they chose to leave, either way, they will leave. People you love and hold so close to your heart will abandon you when you’re most vulnerable. Those whom you adore will stab you in places where it hurts the most. And they know it.
You might want to forget those harsh realities and move on or foolishly try to hold on. But you know whats profound…not the love, not the fun, not the laughter or tears. None of this will last. It’s not meant to. Nothing remains forever. Only He remains, All shall perish. Now, that’s profound! Nothing lasts.
Seek Him to find love, to find peace and fill yourself with contentment. Crying does not nullify your patience. It does not mean you’ re weak. In fact, the opposite is true. When you’re crying & supplicating to God, it is as if you’re saying you have no one else but Him. It is an indication of your sincerity and monotheism – you’re not asking anyone else but God. Prophet Ya’qub (Jacob) [peace be upon him] cried and cried until he lost his eyesight. He was not *just patient*, he was beautifully patient & his patience was beautiful.
So, just let go. And realise that a glimmer of hope in someone’s heart could be stirred just by a few words of comfort and advice you give. Be that hope.
Toodles and Salaam =)
